SMARTassMusic makes use of some of the best available software in order to make musical expertise and session musicians affordable to you.
Specialising in the use of virtual instruments we use first class sampling software combined with an in-depth knowledge of arranging. We can produce a totally live feel on the drums by having a session drummer play a digital or live kit & send us the individual tracks, via our file transfer facility, for mixing. All this keeps costs down substantially.
When only live instruments (or a Steinway grand!) will do, we employ the nearby Clowns Pocket studio. This superb facility is run by Derek Nash, a studio engineer with over 20 years experience at BBC TV and who has the rare distinction that he is also first class pro' saxophonist.

Do you have great musical ideas but have no huge budget for a recording studio and session musicians for the time needed?
A single day in a reasonable studio will cost UPWARDS of £350 ($690US) and good musicians will cost UPWARDS of £150 ($290) EACH. If you have 4 musicians and a single day, you have just spent £950 (approx $1900) and that's not including arranging the music!
We can do each 3-4min track for between £190-£300 (depending on the amount of musicians you want) and you have COMPLETE CONTROL over what you want.
In fact, we're such good value that a recent client fly over from the USA (business class!) to record here, while we took care of all the orchestral and backing vocal arrangements and sessions.
